Tonight

Tonight I'll watch the moon
While loudly the crickets croon
I hope the clouds won't hide
It's face a glow with pride.
Tonight I'll count the stars,
While slowly I pass the hours,
I wish just one would fall,
and grace our pretty wall.
Tonight I'll dream of things,
Like people having wings,
And flowers gaily dancing,
While angels to sweetly singing.
Tonight I'll say my prayer,
With them I'm quite well-versed,
Tonight I'll add a few,
To bring me something new.
